Therapy Services - Adults
Currently working as a specialist in stroke services, Catherine can advise appropriate strategies and provide evidence-based therapy programmes for:
Adult acquired aphasia after stroke.
Cognitive communication disorder after traumatic brain injury.
Adult acquired speech difficulties, such as dysarthria and dyspraxia.
Cognitive communication difficulties for those living with dementia.
Therapy Services - Children
With expertise in working with the speech, language and communication needs of children, Catherine can provide therapy for:
Childhood phonological and articulation speech difficulties - using a number of techniques tailored to your needs.
Childhood delayed language acquisition (pre school) - using appropriate, evidence based programmes.
How it works
There will be an initial assessment involving conversation and looking at and talking about pictures together.
Advice will be provided with a summary report.
Goals and a start date for therapy will be agreed, if indicated. There will be activities for you to work on at home. The appropriate resources will be provided.
When and where
Currently offering mid-week appointments.
Therapy can take place in clinic, home or school settings as indicated.
